• Product Description

The aim of NICEIC Certification’s 2-Part Domestic Gas Safety On Site Guide is to provide technical information and industry guidance to practicing gas engineers going about their daily activities and those individuals progressing through industry training and assessment (initial & reassessment).

The Guide is closely aligned to the Matters of Gas Safety (MoGS) that govern the competence criteria of the Nationally Accredit Certification Scheme for Gas Fitting Operatives (ACS), managed by the Standard Setting Body (SSB) of Energy & Utility Skills.

Part 1 of the Guide deals with the core, fundamental issues that frame all gas engineers work, including matters relating to: legislation, combustion, flueing, ventilation, pipework (including tightness testing and purging), pressure regulation, burner control, etc.

Part 2 of the Guide is specific to each appliance type found in a domestic setting: wet central heating boilers, fires, cookers, warm air units, water heaters, etc.

The Guide is also available as a single digital publication via VitalSource’s Book Shelf – see ‘Digital Publications – Digital Gas’ for further information.
